Exceptional 1916 silver Rolex officers watch in  very original condition. This watch has the very rare black dial preferred by the army personnel as it was non reflective. The enamel dial is almost mint with the exception of a very fine scratch between the centre and the numeral 8. The case is 34mm without the crown.

The radium paint on the hands has mellowed beautifully and the watch has a huge amount of character. The movement is a 13 line Rebberg which was the largest offered by Rolex as a wristwatch at the time. The case has full British hallmarks , London assay , sterling silver ,1916.

This is a museum grade , very rare watch
