Comments:

An eye catching and interesting solid gold Longines with a rare stylised case with distinctive articulated lugs.

Interestingly , this same patented screw back case was offered by Rolex , Zenith and Longines and it is possible to find exactly the same model ( obviously with different movements ) by these brands . It was offered for the British market and as far as we know , there was no Swiss marker equivalent.

The quality of the movement is first class and can be said without exaggeration that Longines movements from this post war period were equal to , if not better than anything by Rolex , Omega or IWC at the time.

The condition of the whole watch is almost mint the movement being pristine with all original parts.

The watch has full hallmarks , 9 karat gold , London 1947.

The watch is accompanied by an extract from the Longines museum archive confirming its authenticity and informing us it left St Icier when new on 17/12/1947.

This is a must have watch for any serious Longines afficiandos.

The watch is serviced and ready for immediate dispatch via DHL. Please ask for shipping rates.
