This Rolex model is highly significant in Rolex history as it was the very first model that Rolex offered with the Oyster case with just the 2 part construction which is a format still used today . This watch can therefore be considered the father of all modern Rolex Oyster watches.

The dial is beautiful and rare , note that the minute track is not printed but actually gilded .

The crown is the original “Oyster Patent” and the watch has the full hallmarks 9k Glasgow 1936.
