Ulysse Nardin founded in 1846 gained a reputation for high-precision deck watches, in the early 20th century they expanded into pocket watches, wristwatches and marine chronometers. They were renowned for manufacturing high precision watches, winning several Observatory prizes and even manufactured in 1935 a tourbillion pocket watch. Fast forward 20 years and we have this unusual 1950s dress watch. The watch has a striking black dial, fitted with gold indices, gold hands and gold plated case. This is a great looking watch and in working order.
The diameter of the watch is 34mm and the lug width is 18mm. The case-back and movement are stamped with Ulysse Nardin. We have fitted the watch with a modern black leather strap and gold buckle.
