A 1970 day/date C case stainless steel Omega Constellation with a white gold bezel ref 168 029 A very rare watch.
The watch style of the constellation drastically changed in 1964 with the introduction of the C-shaped case which despite having a different overall look continued to be elegant, luxurious and ultra precise running on the famed Cal 751 automatic movement.
All constellations are certified chronometers and prized as high precision timekeepers. The C-shaped case is now much sought after by discerning world wide collectors and vintage watch enthusiasts and especially by the younger generation both men and women.
This very attractive timepiece has a stunning original, pristine, silver/grey linen textured dial with hand riveted steel and painted black hour markers. The contrast between the all stainless satin finish case and dial is beautiful. The case, reference is 168.029 is in superb condition. The movement features the quick date change and its serial number is 32601017 which dates the watch to 1970.
