A broken vintage watch has often been left in the back of a drawer or handed down through the family but have not been serviced for many years or are in need of repair.
Sometimes these watches do make it to the local repair shop who can’t repair them ( watchmaking is a dying art ) or they ( the so called watch repairers ) simply want to send them away for a very expensive overhaul. This can often cost as much as the watch is worth and quite often the watches value is ruined by the original hands or dial being changed ( DONT DO IT !! ).
We are happy to look at any interesting or high end vintage watch you have in any condition even if not running as we love rescuing once great time pieces and giving them a new home.

This is an interesting watch I recently bought from my watchmaker ( he is great at vintage watch repairs ) ! he had to change the glass and free up the bezel but other than that its now become my daily wearer and is in effect a rescued broken vintage watch. Yes even quartz watches can be vintage and asI forget to wind my watches up wearing this watch is not a problem.
Not all broken vintage watches can be repaired as many of the parts are not available ( Rolex will not stock or sell parts ) so its often a waiting game until the parts come up normally on Ebay.
