WHERE ARE EBERHARD WATCHES MADE
Vintage Eberhard watches are not very common but Eberhard watches started business in 1887 in the birthplace of the Swiss watchmaking business , La Chaux-de-Fonds by 1907 Eberhard had become one of the largest watch making companies in Switzerland. After the first world war things slowed up for the business as the market for watches was becoming somewhat crowded.
After the second world war production at Eberhard resumed and the firm started to produce some interesting and complicated watches including pocket watches.
This Eberhard System Mod Magini split seconds chronograph is a personal favourite of mine. It was made for the Italian military during WW2 but oddly enough only 10 were made possibly due to the Italian army being in a number of difficult positions !
